Boarding   Procedure and process for boarding the airplane as established by the airline.
You already know that you get an assigned seat when you fly with US. But did you know that US is leading the industry in getting you to your seat as fast as possible?

US boards planes using the reverse pyramid system. Designed by industrial engineers at Arizona State University, reverse pyramid boarding reduces seat and aisle interference. By staggering our boarding zones, there’s less crowding in the aisle so you’re at your seat and ready to go quickly.

One of the biggest changes you'll notice at the airport is that you won't hear us inviting our Preferred Dividend Miles members to board anymore. Instead, the system automatically prints the appropriate zone on your boarding pass.

Expectant Mothers   Policies and procedures concerning expectant mothers.
Any person who is pregnant and expecting delivery within 7 days may not fly unless the passenger provides a doctor's certificate dated within 72 hours of departure stating that the doctor has examined and found the passenger to be physically fit for air transportation.

On international flights, lap children may require a paper ticket, may have to pay 10 percent of the published available adult fare and are subject to international taxes and any surcharges.
